Printmaking is a technically involved, labor-intensive process wherein multiple original works of art are produced from a single plate. The creative process of these printmakers begins with carving their ideas into wood, engraving or etching metal with acid. The prints are produced by transferring ink from these surfaces onto paper using a press. Relationships -hidden, ignored and highlighted- are the foundation of their work.
