At the annual Alamo Theatre Arts Council Awards presentation on Oct. 15 at the Empire Theatre in downtown San Antonio, NVC Drama’s production of “Grease” took home nine awards for Excellence in: Production (Mellissa Marlowe) Direction (Tim Hedgepeth) Set Design (Todd Deaver) Sound Design (Todd Deaver) Costume Design (Michelle Pietri, Guest Artist) Choreography (Courtni Mercer, Guest Artist) Musical Direction (Andrew Hendley, Guest Artist) Supporting Actress (Dorianna James, Amy Mireles) Northwest Vista College’s “Grease” swept the college and university division, winning more awards than any institution.
