Martinez CALL FOR CHOREOGRAPHY: NVC ALUMNI CHOREOGRAPHER DANCE PROGRAM at NORTHWEST VISTA COLLEGE Applications Accepted: November 1st – November 25th, 2019 Notifications sent: December 2nd, 2019 Who can apply: Alumni of the NVC Dance Program – dance studies must have been completed prior to the year 2015. What we’re looking for: The Northwest Vista College Dance Program is looking for alumni to set a work (7 – 15 minutes) on the Repertory Dance Ensemble for the concert “Vista Dances” in Spring 2020. Your proposed work can be in any style and can be repertory or a new creation. You will be working with 3 – 6 students, though there is a possibility of working with more than 6, depending on the outcome of auditions. Contract provided; fee for service. Rehearsals: Rehearsals take place at Palmetto Center for the Arts on the Northwest Vista College campus. The dance studio comes equipped with wood floors, mirrors, and a sound system (aux cord only). You will rehearse with the company one afternoon each week (TBD) for 15 weeks from January through April/May and will also attend the technical rehearsal (TBD) in the Palmetto Center for the Arts Theater. Performance: Completed work will be performed in Vista Dances on May 2nd, 2020. Your attendance at the concert and dress rehearsal is optional, though encouraged!
