September 6, 2018 | Manny V. Martinez Former NVC student, Alayah Benavidez, was recently crowned Miss Texas USA for 2019. Now a student at the University of Texas-San Antonio, Alayah is an O’Connor High School grad. Alayah has credited Northwest Vista College with helping in furthering her education debt free. She has previously held the titles of Miss San Antonio Texas Teen USA 2013, Greater Helotes Texas MS 2015, Miss San Antonio United States 2016 and Miss San Antonio Texas 2018.
