June 20, 2018 | Manny V. Martinez This past May, Jessica Perotte, Class of 2010, was invited to be guest speaker at the 2018 Northwest Vista College Commencement Ceremony. She delivered a power message of encouragement to the Class of 2018. You can watch her speech and the entire ceremony below. 850 Northwest Vista College graduates participated in the 2018 Commencement ceremony this year, making it the largest graduating class in the college’s history. NVC graduates earned a total of 1,322 degrees and 85 certificates in the summer and fall 2017 semesters. Degrees earned include: Associate of Arts Associate of Science Associate of Arts in Teaching Associate of Applied Science For the third year in a row, NVC graduates received a one-year membership worth $25 to join Friends of the Arts (FANs) at Northwest Vista College, a group of employee and community leaders promoting fine and performing arts. Benefits include advance notice of NVC arts events and activities as well as free admission to FANs receptions. In support of life-long learning, Texas Public Radio (TPR) has gifted each NVC graduate with a one-year radio station membership worth $60. Member benefits include thank-you gifts, invitations to TPR member-only events and member prices to special events such as Cinema Tuesdays and Worth Repeating.
