August 11, 2016 | Manny V. Martinez Hello Northwest Vista College Alumni and Friends, Welcome to NVCAlumni.org. We are excited to announce the rollout of this new home page created specifically for the alumni and friends of Northwest Vista College. This enhanced user-friendly web design will help connect the Vista community by making it easier to share news about the successes of NVC graduates, the creation of new college and community partnerships and the fostering of scholarships which benefit students. You’ll see more stories on a regular basis, so bookmark the site, share the link with fellow Vista grads and visit often. Additionally, our Vista family continues to grow. In May, NVC filled the Freeman Coliseum with over 800 graduates walking the stage wearing Vista purple caps and gowns. For the third year in a row, Northwest Vista has seen a significant increase in the number of students graduating. We are on track to award over 3,000 degrees and certificates for the 2015 – 2016 year. That represents a 110% increase in graduates over the past three years. Wow! Lastly, please join me in thanking Follett Bookstores and Mr. Patrick Quilty, who manages the NVC campus store. Through a new partnership, which involved donating a percentage of sales from carnations and other products at the graduation ceremony, we have been able to raise over $900 for the NVC Alumni and Friends Scholarship.
