March 7, 2014 | SharkAdmin The NVC New Employee Orientation (NEO) program is an important part of the new employee’s onboarding experience. It is designed to complement and support the hiring supervisor’s efforts in helping new employees feel welcome and better prepared for their new environment and jobs. Approximately every two months, new full time, part time and work-study employees are invited to the 1-1/2 day orientation. Full-time employees are required to attend the whole day while part time and work-study employees are expected to attend the first half day (and additional at the discretion of their supervisors). The intent of the agenda is to cover the “4 C’s” – Compliance topics, Clarification (workplace expectations), Culture, and Connections (importance of relationships). For more information on NVC’s NEO activities, contact Organizational Learning's Jim Lievens at [email protected] or 486-4380.
