NVC Receives Military Friendly Schools Status

Northwest Vista College is among the elite colleges, universities and trade schools nationwide.

Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life, has named Northwest Vista College to the coveted Military Friendly Schools® list for 2015. This is the fourth consecutive year in a row that NVC has received the designation.

The 2015 Military Friendly Schools® list honors the top colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

The Military Friendly Schools® media and website, found at www.militaryfriendlyschools.com, feature the list, interactive tools and search functionality to help military students find the best school to suit their unique needs and preferences. The 1,600 colleges, universities and trade schools on this year’s list exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience. Other local colleges named to the list include Palo Alto College, St. Philip's College, Texas A&M University in San Antonio, UTSA, the University of the Incarnate Word and two Kaplan Colleges in San Antonio.

In its sixth consecutive year, the Military Friendly Schools list is the only resource based on a complimentary and rigorous quantitative assessment that measures schools on criteria created by Victory Media with the assistance of an independent Academic Advisory Board, and graded by an automated research suite.

NVC supports military personnel and veterans through its NVC Veteran Affairs area.
