Local Attorney Explains Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning

[image 1]Participants at a Lunch and Learn organized by NVC Organizational Learning on Friday gained a better understanding about estate planning, wills, probate and more from an informative session presented by Lauren McLaughlin, partner and attorney with Strasburger & Price, LLP.

She discussed a range of topics including Texas law pertaining to what happens when someone dies without a will, how a will can function, probate, heirship proceedings, financial and medical power of attorney and much more in the session entitled, “Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way”.

When asked about the cost of having an attorney prepare a will, McLaughlin explained that will packages at her firm range from $500 for the most basic estate to $2,400 for more complex estates.
