William Keith served as judge for the event. Each winner received a $25 NVC bookstore gift card. Crowd favorite, selected by the amount of money raised, was a team which created a building scene with a tree breaking through the street. Artists on the team included Paulina Camara, Abby Noriega, Khalil Ayala and Felix Sanchez. A total of $9.04 was raised for NVC arts. Team members each received a gift certificate for a one-year membership in FANs. [image 3]Groups participating were from a design class at NVC. The students were given a group project assignment and design credit for participating in the event. Passers-by stopped frequently to observe the student artists at work and many asked questions, took pictures, contributed funds and commented favorably about the event and the art.
