We Need Your Help!

[image 1]The countdown has begun! There’s just a little more than two weeks before we hit the fall payment deadline of July 29 at 11:59 p.m.

Unlike previous semesters, there’s just one payment deadline for this fall semester – that is if a student registered prior to July 29 for fall classes.

We need your help in getting the word out!

While we’re running ahead in our head count, if we are unable to make sure that students are aware of the July 29^th deadline to pay their tuition or set up a payment plan – our efforts to increase our enrollment will be mitigated.

Student Success teams have been using the labor intensive method of cold calling students who have not registered for classes, or who have not signed up for New Student Orientation. Students have also been contacted who have incomplete applications or who have yet to meet with their advisors. 

In addition, emails have been sent to invite students for AlamoENROLL and Check Your Status days. We are also trying to reach students via social media by continually posting important dates such as the July 29^th payment date, payment plan options, and the Aug. 3 admission date.

Despite these ramped up efforts, we are still short of where we want to be in terms of the number of students who have paid.

While I am fully aware that it is summer, I know that many of you still communicate with your students via social media and other circles where you have a better chance of being heard and can remind them of that critical payment deadline of July 29. You might have friends with sons and daughters coming here this fall who are unaware of the payment deadline. Simply just wearing your name tag or an NVC t-shirt to the store will drum a conversation from a student worker saying, “I go there,” and that’s when you can respond with the reminder …. If you haven’t already, you need to pay your tuition or set up a payment plan by July 29^th… don’t forget that payment deadline!

As we look to improve our enrollment, serve our growing community and improve our enrollment/registration processes, I’m hoping our NVC family will be willing to pitch in a little bit to spread the word to our students to pay by July 29 or set up a payment plan so students won’t be dropped from their courses.
