Her success continued at UTSA, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Both a former student and employee at NVC, Matilde’s Vista experience extends throughout her family with three children who have also been students. “Not only was I able to grow professionally, but I was also able to see my three children attend college with me, at work,” she says. Matilde encourages current students to never give up. She says, “Don’t let life get in the way. Believe it when you hear that it will all be worth it.” Favorite Vista Value: Learning because, “Life does not stop at 20 or 30 years old, and neither does learning!”
