September 24, 2012 | SharkAdmin The Baldrige Examiner Team will be here in two weeks. The visit begins Monday, Oct. 8, with the opening presentation at 8:30 A.M. in the Palmetto Performance Hall. Over the next two weeks leading to the visit, I will be sending to all employees with a daily message related to some aspect of the college about which you may be asked. For starters here is a reminder of the Northwest Vista Mission and Vision: Mission: Creating Opportunities for Success. Vision: To become responsible members of our world community, we create exemplary models for: Learning to Be… Learning to Work… Learning to Serve… Learning to Lead… Together. Join Me for Some Tee Time! For the last three years, the Mexican American Studies (MAS) program has hosted a golf tournament to support student scholarships. While many of you may be thinking, “I don’t play golf,” there are a few ways you can contribute to this worthy cause on Oct. 5 at the beautiful Hyatt Hill Country Resort & Spa. First, you could sponsor a student or even a team to attend the tournament. To sponsor one student, its $125, however, you also have the option to make smaller donations such as $10 or $20. Employees have also pooled their money together in the past to sponsor several students. The MAS committee is also looking for hole sponsors. For $200, signage for advertisement will be displayed at the golf course, so perhaps you know of a community organization that would like to get some publicity or make a contribution. Finally, the committee is also seeking items for door prizes. If you would like to play or to donate funds, prizes or need more information, contact Corina Gonzalez-Stout at 486-4611 or [email protected].I hope to see you there!
