March 8, 2013 | SharkAdmin It’s award season…Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globes and our own favorite…the NVC Awards 2013 NVC Award Nominations Needed— Send your nominations now! Each year during the NVC convocation in August, individuals and teams that have developed outstanding innovations, program improvements or provided exemplary service to NVC are recognized. Don’t wait until May to nominate a person or a team (you can also nominate yourself). Who did an outstanding job this fall in one of the categories below. Briefly describe the idea/innovation by the individual and/or team for one or more of the categories below. Also provide a short statement describing the results/outcomes from the Initiative. To make this easy, entries need to be more only one to two paragraphs. Nominees will be judged by a team of faculty and staff and honored at the August Convocation. Submit nominations any time before the holidays when you are not so busy and they will be included in the spring judging. Please send to [email protected]. Award Categories: Bright Ideas Award: To recognize an individual or team that developed a creative idea that improved our ability to serve the NVC community. Quality Enhancement: To recognize teams and/or individuals that have engaged in initiatives that have resulted in improved student or college outcomes. Service/Service Learning: To recognize an individual and/or team for outstanding service to the college community and/or the community at large. This may also recognize a faculty member engaged in an outstanding service learning project. If none of the above categories work for the nomination, you can make a nomination for the following: Special Recognition: For an individual or team has contributed significantly to achieving our mission, vision, values or strategic plan.
