September 12, 2013 | SharkAdmin I thought you all would be interested in knowing that on Sept. 6, we sent to SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) our monitoring report. I want to personally thank all who participated in the work by engaging in: Documenting cycles of student learning outcome and program assessment and improvement; Assessing and documenting student achievement; Documenting how we address written student complaints; Writing and rewriting and editing the monitoring report. While we still have opportunities for improvement, as always, I believe that the contents of the report as well as our collective understanding of what we mean by student learning outcomes, educational ”programs,” cycle of assessment and improvement, student achievement, and student complaint management are dramatically improved. Congratulations on completing this round of program and student learning outcomes assessment. Take a minute to pat yourself and colleagues on the back. Okay, now it is time to move on to the next round – preparing for the next cycle of re-accreditation, including the compliance report that will be due in spring 2015 as well as defining and planning our next QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan).
