June 16, 2016 | SharkAdmin “Work hard, stay focused and get involved…” Andrea Parker graduated from Northwest Vista College in 2010 with dual associate’s degrees in Biology and Teaching. While working towards her degrees at NVC, Andrea volunteered as a student ambassador and served as president of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) on campus. “Being involved at NVC was very rewarding,” she said. “I was able to meet a lot of people as well as learn a great deal about the campus.” Andrea says the steps she took at NVC are currently helping her complete a bachelor’s degree at UTSA. “I feel very accomplished having two associate’s degrees,” she said. “I am now a senior at UTSA because of it.” Demonstrating her dedication, Andrea successfully balances working full-time for Wells Fargo and attending college. She encourages NVC students to also work hard, stay focused and get involved with student groups and activities. “The school (NVC) is 100 percent student-oriented and everything is done with students in mind,” she added.
