April 24, 2014 | SharkAdmin Community Development Campaign Wins Award “NVC Cares. . .I Care –the Northwest Vista College 2013 Employee Giving Campaign” won the Silver Award for Best Practices in Fundraising in the 2014 Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE ) Accolades competition. The award was announced during an awards luncheon and recognition ceremony at the recent CASE District IV Conference held in Houston. Lynne T. Dean, CFRE, NVC director of institutional advancement, accepted the award on behalf of NVC. The Gold Award was presented to Texas Christian University and the Bronze Award to the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. Community Development and NVC Public Relations collaborated on the NVC Employee Giving Campaign that included print and digital collateral and strategic communication to employees. NVC Part of Nationwide Event NVC Community Development and Community Education areas participated in the 2014 Diversity and Inclusion Summit at Nationwide Insurance and an opportunity fair for the company’s employees on Thursday. Andrea Hardeman, Nationwide talent acquisitions manager, coordinated the events. She served as a scholarship application judge for NVC during the recent judging event. “Experience Nationwide” provided space for community and recreational organizations to talk with employees about opportunities for involvement. In addition to NVC, SeaWorld San Antonio, the Dallas Cowboys, several nonprofit organizations and the San Antonio Spurs took part in the festivities.
