Help Register Student Voters

GET OUT THE VOTE, NVC!

  • 46 million young people ages 18-29 years old are eligible to vote, while only 39 million seniors are eligible to vote. Yet seniors turnout in higher numbers.
  • Latinos have one of the lowest rates of voter registration and turnout at the polls. Yet they are the fastest growing demographic.
  • According to research, registration is sometimes a larger hurdle than the act of voting itself.

BUT YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Help engage the college community in the November election by registering students and employees to vote! Let Migdalia Garcia or Mary Dixson know if you are a deputy voter registrar so they can put you on their distribution list to help register at NVC.

NVC is participating in Texas Votes, a statewide coalition of colleges and universities.  Helping students to register is a mandate by the federal government for all institutions participating in federal financial aid programs.
