Taylor and college and university presidents to discuss education opportunities for residents in San Antonio and surrounding communities.Mayor Taylor shared her vision and her support of higher education to the group of educational leaders that make up the Higher Education Council of San Antonio (HECSA). The McNay Art Museum hosted the event for the group which has been around since 1975. HECSA's membership includes 23 two-year college and university partners, as well as other local entities who support higher education. Recently, the city's Cafe College joined the ranks of HECSA to help with the goals of the organization. HECSA's goals include collaborating with business and industry to enhance economic development, and to promote higher education opportunities to the community.
