Local Business Reps & NVC Create New Program

[image 2]NVC Workforce Education & Training collaborated with several members of the NVC Business Council Friday, Oct. 2 in the development of a new program in customer service.

This collaboration was initiated by several council members and area employers, who together will be adding more than 1,100 customer service-related jobs in the next two years. Among the employers who have asked that this type of program be developed at NVC are Frost Bank, Nationwide, Wells Fargo, Capital Group, Chase and The Hartford.

The collaboration resulted in the initial development of an award in Customer Service from NVC's Continuing Education area, which can be offered immediately. It's estimated that for the fall of 2016, students will also be able to earn a Certificate of Customer Service, and an Associate of Applied Science with a concentration in Business Services Operations. 
 
Participants in Oct. 2 session included Patty Williams, Erica Noriega and Cindy Ramirez of Frost Bank and Andrea Hardeman of Harland Clarke.
