More Than 90 Volunteers Welcome NVC Students

[image 1]They came, they helped, they braved the heat and they helped NVC students find their way to a class, the bookstore, the library and other campus locations.

[image 2]More than 90 NVC faculty, staff and students wearing green “Ask Me” shirts distributed maps, planners, pens and pencils, lanyards, pencil sharpeners and other helpful NVC items as part of Wildcat Days on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 24 and 25. Four stations were set up near campus buildings: Palmetto Center for the Arts and Cypress Campus Center, Live Oak Hall, Juniper and Redbud Learning Center and Manzanillo and Mountain Laurel halls.

Most frequently heard comments over the two-day welcome include, “Where is RLC”, “Where do I get my ID” and “What’s the most important thing to do on the first day of class”.

Groups and organizations participating in Wildcat Days include Student Government Association, Student Leadership Program and Staff Council. The two-day event was organized by faculty members and facilitated by Community Development.
