May 23, 2014 | SharkAdmin Congratulations to four Northwest Vista College employees for recently graduating from the Alamo Colleges Leadership Academy for Success, also known as ALAS. The NVC employees are: Betty Cunningham of NVC Veterans Affairs team Roque Heredia of the NVC Degree Completion Team Marie Morgan of NVC Student Life Cindy Magruder of the NVC Natural & Physical Sciences area This is the seventh year of ALAS; and 50 Alamo Colleges' leaders graduated from across the district. This nine-month long leadership development course allows for leaders to be engaged in learning and skill development specifically in the area of four Leader Imperatives: Inspiring Trust, Clarifying Purpose, Alignment of Systems and Unleashing Talent. Over 200 leaders from across the campuses and district have completed this program. The ALAS leadership program allows leaders to learn and develop mindsets and skill sets to produce great results and it creates an opportunity to be mentored, be collaborative in projects and ideas to improve the Alamo Colleges, and grow personally as leaders.
