NVC in the News – May 15

Viva La Vista & Birthday Celebration

The Viva la Vista and NVC Birthday Bash on April 23 were covered by two media outlets. Viva la Vista is a campus-wide event, hosted by NVC Student Activities, that brings a bit of the city's Fiesta to the campus. The NVC Staff Council sponsored the “Shortest Fiesta Parade” and NVC Public Relations also got in on the action by giving away free cupcakes to the campus community.

Blue Art Show

NVC Art faculty Deborah Keller-Rihn and a few of her students were featured on KENS-5 on April 30 to promote their “Blue Art Show” at the Blue Star Arts Complex. To see the story, go here.

20th Anniversary

The Ranger student newspaper featured NVC faculty Cluster Byars and Dennis Gittinger in a story about NVC's 20th anniversary. To read more, go here.

Community Health

The NVC Community Health program was mentioned in the San Antonio Express-News for its partnership with the San Antonio Fire Department to training Emergency Medical Technicians to also be Community Health Workers. Read more here.
