April 7, 2016 | SharkAdmin On April 1, NVC librarians Kristin Johnson and Amanda Gorrell were invited to facilitate two workshops on assessment and data visualization at the Council of Research and Academic Libraries spring meeting. In the first hands-on workshop called, “Assessment: This Time It’s Personal,” librarians from area institutions, including Trinity, Our Lady of the Lake, St. Mary’s, Texas A & M-San Antonio, UT Health Science Center, Southwest Texas Research Institute, and the Alamo Colleges, worked on writing measurable outcomes linked to institutional values and missions. The second hands-on workshop, called “Assessment: Sharing is Caring,” focused on principles of design regarding data and sharing assessment efforts using visualization software.
