Distinguished Science Speaker on April 16

Dr. Alex Filippenko visited NVC campus on April 16. He is a well known astrophysicist from Berkley, Calif. His topic “runaway universe” was very well received. His lucid style, humor, and easy language made for an engaging and interesting presentation.

His presentation was a part of the Science Conference hosted by the department of Natural Sciences. There were over 600 attendees in Palmetto auditorium (faculty and students included). For pictures, click go here: [file 1]
