December 13, 2013 | SharkAdmin From Mary Dixson, dean of Interdisciplinary StudiesVia an email dated Dec. 11 “We have just returned from the SACS-COC conference in Atlanta. I want to send a huge thank you to the many people who worked so hard on our 2013 monitoring report. It was accepted by the SACS-COC Board of Trustees with no recommendations and no further monitoring required. (SACS-COC stands for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) This was a massive team effort that included data gathering, organizing, writing, and editing. It would not have happened without your hard work. I know there were large committees of people who made this happen including: student complaints, academic steering teams, and more. I’m sure in my post-conference haze, I’m forgetting to include everyone. I am very proud of the work we did on this report. Now we are ready to focus on our next step: reaffirmation and the February 2015 Compliance Report! Have a great holiday!”
